I work with individuals with a variety of life challenges; self-esteem and targeting healthy relationships for adults and adolesecents; and couples in any stage of relationship.
Working with a therapist can help you learn to communicate with others and explore how your history shapes your thoughts, fears, insecurities, and behaviors. Through this exploration, you can begin to work towards greater understanding of yourself and others, healing, acceptance, creating boundaries, and increasing self-confidence.
My professional background includes work in private practice and community counseling centers, grief and loss through a hospice organization, families and adolescents in school-based and community counseling centers (middle and high school ages), group facilitation in grief and loss (spousal/partner loss, child loss, parent loss, adolescents, parent education and community workshops). If you are new to therapy, you may be surprised to see how it can help to ‘lighten the load’ to have an empathic person to talk to. I offer convenient evening hours; and welcome speaking with you to determine how we can work together to help you.
